FAQ and privacy
What data Orbit reads, what it never does, who sees your data and other common questions.
What data does Orbit read?
Only two things:
- The official public OGame API for each universe (rankings, players, planets, alliances and server settings) and the official list of universes. It is the same data for everyone.
- What you upload or write: the Empire page, your reports, your notes, your memory and your conversations.
Orbit does not log into your game account, never asks for your password and stores nothing private from any account. Reports you import with their code are read through a community service that returns that data from the official API; if you prefer, you can paste the report text instead.
Does Orbit play for me?
No. Orbit does not automate any action inside the game: it does not send fleets, build, spy or click for you. It only reads, calculates and informs. Everything you do in OGame, you do yourself.
Can it tell me whether someone is online?
No, and it does not try to. Orbit sees changes in the public data: that is observed activity, never a confirmed connection. Seeing no activity does not prove that someone is disconnected or asleep, and no hour is safe to attack. More in Intelligence.
Does Orbit warn you about attacks?
No. Orbit does not send alarms or notifications about game events: you check whenever you want.
Who sees my data?
Your conversations, plans, notes, memory, reports and empire are private. In an alliance, only what you explicitly post in the room is visible, and your bot only shares your data with other members' bots if you turn on the switch. To answer, the text of your query and the necessary context are sent to the AI provider. The details are in Data and terms.
Can I delete my account or request a copy of my data?
Yes. Ask via Contact. For now there is no automatic delete or export button. Your plans can be exported as Markdown and your empire as JSON.
Why is some data not up to date?
Because the official source updates at its own pace: rankings every hour, players every day and planets every week. Orbit shows the source date and treats missing data as “unknown”, never as zero.
Are the simulations exact?
They are estimates based on the data you have: the combat simulator replays the battle many times and gives you probabilities, but it is not the server's exact result. Check the assumptions (technologies, fleet, class) before using a result in the game.
What happens if I change personality?
Nothing happens to your data. Eirene, Adam and SX-9 change the tone and priorities of their advice, never the facts or the limits.
Is Orbit official?
No. Orbit is an independent fan project, not affiliated with Gameforge. OGame is a registered trademark of Gameforge, which is not involved in this project and does not endorse it.
